It has been a long week. Today, Friday, has its on challenges and events, but this week has been a constant conversation with God. It started on Sunday with a conversation in my office. Monday evening and Tuesday morning brought words that pushed for realignment of priorities. Tuesday night allowed the Lord to speak through those around me with encouragement and contemplation. Thursday nights I have a wonderful gift of a couple of hours to myself. It was then that I believe God allowed some clarity and order to His message for the week.
I am continuing to struggle with my response, that of my church and my family, to the leadership of the West Ohio Conference's refusal to respond to their actions that go against the scriptures. I now know what I am to do. God has called me to serve in this church. He has called me to lead in this part of His body. I am not going to stop doing that until He calls me elsewhere. He has called me to stay. He has not called me to leave the United Methodist Church. He has called me to stand on the Biblical principals He has set up in His Word. I am not to say it is okay for a pluralistic wave to overcome the truth that is found in the Bible. I will stay and fight for the church that God has set up in the traditions and morals that have been the foundation of His bride.
I guess I'm ready for whatever is next, but I'm not going to leave. They (whoever they are) will have to come and get me.

Looking for Peace
I am still looking for peace as to which direction to go to be obedient to God's call in regards to the decisions made by those in leadership of our Conference and the effect it has had on our local church family. I need to hear clearly about what next steps to take for myself, my family, my church, and my community. At a district meeting this morning the passage from Mark 4 verses 26-29 was shared. "He also said, "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain - first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come."
I pray that my community, my church, my family, and myself can be patient as we wait for the harvest of His knowledge so that we may be guided into His righteous action.

The beginning
After some time playing around with a God Sightings website I started to wonder about posting a blog. Here goes. I hope to be on here daily to do some follow up of the last week and some preview for the week to come. Not for sure how this will work, but I'm willing to give it a try.
